Formed in 1997 in Bekasi, West Java, The Fishska have spent decades embedded in Indonesia’s underground... steady, defiant, and rooted in the raw traditions of early reggae and skinhead culture.
Following their 2023 album Banned in Jakarta, which saw select tracks released internationally by Liquidator Music, the band returns with Iron Dome, a two-track 7” that captures both their political urgency and musical identity.
The A-side, “Iron Dome,” is a direct and unflinching protest, while the B-side, “Having a Reggay and Having a Say,” reaffirms the band’s foundation: classic reggae sounds delivered with conviction and purpose.
Pressed on smoke and flame black-and-orange splatter vinyl, the record was mixed by John Roy and mastered by Brian Wallace (Dubrobot), with art by Michael Buchmiller.
This release is a collaboration between Escape Hatch Records and Mohawk Mike Records.
The Fishska continue to prove that distance is irrelevant and resistance travels—loud, rhythmic, and impossible to ignore.
